Communicating the results of our research is an important step in connecting with public policy makers and those working to improve living conditions in our cities.
We've prepared a resource based on one of our latest articles, "Gender and Urban Health," which presents a tool to help researchers, managers, activists, and anyone else interested in assessing the characteristics of urban spaces that can promote gender equality.
This study was constructed using quantitative, qualitative, and systematic observational data from three urban transformation processes in Latin America. The data were organized into indicators, and these indicators were then grouped into three dimensions, which we combined into a tool, presented in the illustrated material, and presented in detail in the article Gênero e saúde urbana: uma ferramenta estruturada latino-americana para pesquisa e política.
We believe that researchers, public administrators, NGOs, and community groups can use this information to identify data and characteristics of urban spaces that can guide interventions to promote gender equality in our cities.
The guide is available in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, in web or printable format, for anyone who wants to share it with others!
Help us make this resource reach those interested in creating more equitable cities that promote gender equality!
